The kinds of value a styling knob takes, a subset of the shared KnobKind vocabulary.

• factor: a multiplier over what the style already does (1 = unchanged), e.g. label size.
• number: a value in the knob's own units, e.g. the light's direction in degrees.
• toggle: true/false, e.g. whether the sky is drawn.
• color: a CSS colour string (#rrggbb, hsl(…), rgb(…), a named colour).
• enum: one of the knob's options, e.g. the projection.
