The Alps read as terrain rather than flat colour, with ridges and valleys shaded into the base map under the roads and labels.

• TerrainModule.get is the whole feature. One awaited call adds the elevation source and layers to the loaded style, with no style URL to swap and no terrain tiles to host.
• { hillshade: { visible: true } } on that same call turns the shading on as the style loads, so the first frame already has relief.
