API Explorer Index
Introduction
This API Explorer Index consolidates links to different TomTom API Explorer pages in one location for your convenience. Use it to get to an API Explorer page to quickly run an endpoint HTTP request and receive its response. When you are in an API Explorer page, the endpoint documentation can be accessed with the “Documentation” link in the horizontal navigation.
If an API’s name is not shown:
- It does not currently have an API Explorer feature.
- It is being built.
- It is considered private.

Each link will take you to an API’s respective API Explorer page and its current documentation. The links are alphabetically listed.
EV Charging Stations Availability API
The EV Charging Stations Availability API provides information about the current availability of charging spots.
Long Distance EV Routing API
The Long Distance EV Routing API calculates a route between a given origin and destination, passing through waypoints if they are specified.
Geocoding API
The Geocoding API provides the process of converting addresses (like "109 Park Row, New York, United States") into geographic coordinates ("lat": 40.71226,"lon": -74.00207).
Map Display API
The Map Display API is a suite of web services designed for developers to create web and mobile applications around mapping.
Premium Geocoding API
Premium Geocode API allows developers to run a single-line geocoding query for addresses. It returns the latitude/longitude of a specific address along with premium address details like accurate unit location, parking location, building entrance location, and floor number/height.
Reverse Geocoding API
The Reverse Geocoding API gives users a tool to translate a coordinate (for example: 37.786505, -122.3862) into a human-understandable street address, street element, or geography.
Routing API
The Routing API is a suite of web services designed for developers to use our latest scalable online Routing engine.
Search API
The Search API is designed for developers to allow single-line fuzzy search for addresses and POIs, and assigns a latitude/longitude to a specific address, cross street, geographic feature, or point of interest (POI).
Snap to Roads API
The Snap to Roads API is designed for developers to create web and mobile applications responsible for matching received points (gathered from GPS devices) to map a road network and reconstruct the road driven by a customer, and provides detailed information about the matched route.
Traffic API
The Traffic API is a suite of web services designed for developers to create web and mobile applications around real-time traffic.
Waypoint Optimization API
The Waypoint Optimization API is intended to optimize the order of provided waypoints by fastest route. This service uses an heuristic algorithm to create an optimized sequence.
