Introduction
What is TomTom’s EV Search API?
EV Search is a REST API limited to and optimized for the electric vehicle station POI category. It provides complete EV POI data including static location information (lat/long), address, opening hours, access restrictions, technical specs of the charging station (connector type, voltage, power, current, current type), etc. as well as dynamic availability status.
A wide range of EV-specific filters (including dynamic availability) allows for narrowing the search results to match the personal preference (like charging power or access type) of the driver or the technical specification of the electric vehicle (connector type).
The EV Search API currently consists of the following service endpoints.
EV Search Nearby
The EV Search Nearby endpoint provides complete static and dynamic data for up to 100 EV POIs in the specified radius or bounding box.
Ev Search by Id
The EV Search by Id endpoint provides complete static and dynamic data about 1 or more EV POI (charging parks with 1 or more charging stations) for the given ID(s).
Ev Search Along the Route
The EV Search Along the Route endpoint provides complete static and dynamic data for up to 100 EV POIs (20 if detour is requested) along a pre-calculated route.
Charge Point Operators
The Charge Point Operators endpoint enables clients to access a list of available CPOs in a given country or subdivision.
e-Mobility Service Providers
The e-Mobility Service Providers endpoint enables clients to access available eMSPs in a given country.
Market Coverage
Provides a list of all countries supported by the EV Search API engine.

EV Search Nearby
- Finding the nearest charging stations within a given circular area by providing a location (lat/lon) and radius or within a given bounding-box.
